Addressing Sexual Violence

A National Shame: Ending Sexual Violence

Everyone deserves to be safe—at home, at school, at university, and in the workplace. But sexual violence continues unchecked, and the services meant to help survivors are underfunded or missing altogether.

Why Reform is Urgent

·       Inadequate trauma-informed support

·       Long waitlists and poor coverage

·       Lack of accountability in institutions like universities

·       Prevention education not properly resourced

My Commitment

✅     National Higher Education Code + enforcement funding

✅     $37.7M/year increase to specialist sexual violence services

✅     Funding the sector’s peak body to guide reform

✅     $24M to expand school-based prevention programs

Why This Matters in Paterson

Young people in our region deserve safe schools and campuses. Survivors deserve access to justice and healing. Regional NSW must not be left behind in national policy.
